What is Back Acne?

Back Acne, also know as ‘Bacne’, it is usually the result of a buildup of excess oil, dirt, bacteria, or dead skin cells clogging our pores, resulting in red bumps, sometimes with accompanying white or blackheads. In cases of cystic and nodular acne, cysts and nodules may also appear. A flare up on our backs can occur due to hotter weather causing us to sweat more, or certain items of clothing trapping our sweat during or after strenuous activity.

What are the benefits?

A light chemical peel improves skin texture and tone and lessens the appearance of fine wrinkles. The results are subtle but increase with repeated treatments. If you have a medium chemical peel, treated skin will be noticeably smoother. After a deep chemical peel, you'll see a dramatic improvement in the look and feel of treated areas.

 FAQs

  • A chemical peel can cause various side effects, including:

Redness, scabbing, and swelling. Normal healing from a chemical peel involves redness of the treated skin.

Scarring. Rarely, a chemical peel can cause scarring

Changes in skin color. A chemical peel can cause treated skin to become darker than normal (hyperpigmentation) or lighter than normal (hypopigmentation).

  • After three to four days, most of the peeling should be complete, but it may take anywhere from five to seven days before your fresh, new skin has developed. Within seven to fourteen days, your skin should be completely healed

  • Chemical peels are one of the most effective non-invasive cosmetic treatments and a great way to achieve brighter smoother skin. This non-invasive treatment removes the outer layer of skin to reveal healthy, beautiful skin underneath.

  • Recommended every 4-8 Weeks to allow the skin to heal
